DONE: Wire for bar lighting
DONE: Install bar lights (photos tomorrow)
DONE: Put sliders on dining room chairs and table
DONE: reassemble shelves and dining room table
The flooring guys are comming back this afternoon to stain the stairs. Here’s hoping that goes well. I picked the stain, and I’m hoping it’s not too red.
Tonight I’m going to finish up the track lighting above the bar, put the corbels on the bar, and measure the cabinets for glass. And of course the Denver office (I work for ebay) holiday party is tonight, so… So I might just take the night off and not do anything, then come back at it on Friday night.
Rosie is comming to clean tomorrow. She has no idea what she’s in for…
The shelves and dining room table are back together. Here’s a very dusty photo:

Install undercabinet lighting

Splish Splash
Ok, so the backsplash is in:

The holes that dont’ have any tile in them are going to be custom painted Chinese Kanji. I am currently working on getting the artwork together, but this is a good example:

I’ve got 12 tiles that need to be made up, so I need to find 12 Kanji that I like.
The area behind the stove will have three Kanji separated by blank tiles in the same tumbled natural stone the Kanji will be written on. The rest will be split face travertine and tumbled slate. Use your immagination:

DONE Nov 28 Upstairs cleaned

DELAYED Dec 6 Hardwood Crew back to finish the stairs.
DONE Dec 6 Countertops installed.

Install shoe molding on upper cabinets
Install toekicks
Take packing material off of refrigerator
get (and install) glass inserts for upper cabinet doors
Install lazy-susan into blind return cabinet
Install all shelves into kitchen cabinets
Move all tools into the garage (probably will never happen)
Wire for bar lighting
Install bar lights (This will probably be delayed a long time, as I want to think about the best way to do this)
Install corbels on breakfast bar (needs to be done very soon)
Put sliders on dining room chairs and table
reassemble shelves and dining room table
Re-install all cabinet doors
Install drawer pulls
Clean cabinets
Get artwork for custom tiles (to be installed later)

And you know what, asside from doing laundry that’s to “it”…
The granite is in:

So this I found hillarious. I wonder if this is “clean me” in Russian. The granite installers were Russian, as are the other crews in their company:
