Stuck

Well, this week was actually pretty good for training- Especially the weekend. I have bought a treadmill, ERG, and bike trainer, so that while I’m on call I can train. They’re all set up in my roomate’s basement. It’s a pretty sweet setup…

Saturday was a 4 hour ride, then Sunday was a 1.5 hour run.

ErgErgErg

Last night I did a 1 hour spin on the bike in the trainer, then an hour on the ERG. ERGing is much harder than I thought it would be, but it gets my heart rate in the perfect zone for burning off my white mochas.

Training Update

I bought a treadmill!

OMFG it was expensive but I hope it will be worth it in the long run.

I bought it because I go on call for about two weeks in every ten- When I’m on call I can’t leave the house, so I am working on my home gym. I need to really focus on training because I have a heavy race schedule this summer.

My first race is Ralphs California Half Ironman in San Diego. on April 3′rd.

I’m going to drive my Eurovan to SD, race, hopefully see an old friend, then head back up to Menlo Park and stay with my old roomates and wonderful friends Aimee and Kristine again. I’ll work in San Jose for the week, then head back to CO on the weekend. Driving the EV is much nicer than driving my Grand Cherokee, which (surprise surprise) died on the way to work today. The guys at the garage forgot to ask me for the keys, so of course nothing has happened thus far.
